Time Lapse Video of Free Comic Book Day 2012 at Star Clipper

Star Clipper in St. Louis is one of the finest comic shops in the country. Their Free Comic Book Day was an absolute madhouse. The good kind of madhouse. They had live music, huge stacks of free books, and as you can see, long lines of fans. Plus a bit of me in there somewhere. Helluva great day.

This is how they party in Arizona

Pie in the face, originally uploaded by Jason Aaron.
First I shaved this guy's head. Then I hit him in the face with a pie. Then I proceeded to win a poker tournament.

Now that's what I call a comic book signing.

Full report here.

Arizona, I am coming!

Also, want to have brunch with me and support the Hero Initiative all in one fell swoop? Then go here.

I've added two big signings for September, both at stores I've been wanting to visit for quite some time.  On Sept. 11 I'll be signing at The Isotope in San Francisco and on Sept. 25 I'll be at the Atomic Comics Superstore in Mesa, Arizona. Hope to see you there.

Thanks to Local Heroes

Thanks to everybody who came out to Local Heroes in Norfolk last weekend. It was one of the best signings I've ever done, at one of the best stories I've ever been in. As you can see, it was crowded (that's me off to the left, stroking my beard). I signed a ton of books and talked to loads of fans, which is sincerely one of the best parts of my job. Thanks again.

If you're in the area, I hope to see you there.

If you're in the vicinity of Iowa City tomorrow, Saturday, October 20, then you should come see me at Daydreams Comics, 21 S. Dubuque St. I'll be there from 2:00 pm until they turn out the lights.

Here's an interview I did with the Daily Iowan.

This Saturday at Atomic Comics in Oklahoma City they're holding their second ever sidewalk sale, with all sorts of toys, comics and books marked at special prices. In addition, there'll be door prizes, contests and the US Post Office will be on hand selling Marvel Comics stamps. Oh and I'll be there too, from 1:00 pm until they turn out the lights.
