WonderCon

Never been to the show before, so I'm excited. I'm still finalizing the full extent of my con schedule for next year. I want to mix it up a bit, instead of just doing the same shows year after year. If you've got a great local show you'd like me to visit, let me know in the comments. And maybe I'll see ya there.

I'll be heading to Traverse City, Michigan this weekend for the Cherry Captial Con, one of the few cons I'm doing this year.  I drastically cut my con schedule this year after overloading myself a bit last year.  I'm not going to San Diego, not going to Chicago.  I do still plan on attending the New York con, but that and this Michigan show are probably it for the year.  Hope to see you there.

Planet Comicon Report: Met lots of fans and signed lots of books. Also bought lots of books from the fifty cent boxes, including chunks of MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE and MARVEL TEAM-UP and some issues of THE BLACK HOOD with sweet Alex Toth covers. Great getting to chat with Javier Saltares, Ron Wagner, Doselle Young and the guys from Daydreams Comics in Iowa, in addition to the usual gang of clowns and knuckleheads and local-creators-I-pretend-to-respect (yes, Ande Parks was there).

P.S. Matt Fraction and Seth Peck both failed to show up for our scheduled cage match, meaning I retain the title of Kansas City Comic Book Bareknuckle Brawling and Mixed Martial Arts Champion Ass-Kicker for at least another year, and they both earn the new title of "Lilly-Livered Cowards Extraordinaire." For shame.

If you're in the Kansas City area, then you should be coming to Planet Comicon this weekend. I'll be there all day Saturday and Sunday with copies of every book I've ever written. I'll also be doing a panel on Saturday with GHOST RIDER creator Gary Friedrich and artists Mark Texeira and Javier Saltares. Come say hi.
