Honestly this is the first Wolverine book that I have ever picked up in my life and the two reasons that I picked it up were (1) Jason (2) Aaron. Congratulations sir I never thought I would give a Wolverine title a chance. You can tell a compelling story about two old ladies knitting all afternoon.

True genius.

Unfortunately I probably won't be able to pick this up for either a few days, or even a full month. Still looking forward to it, glad to see Marvel gave you your own ongoing (though you could have just as easily taken over Wolverine and it would have been easier, meh, whatever)

I just blew through the issue, and you have my attention. I am very interested to see where this goes. Don't let us down!

To be honest, I almost didn't pick it up (To wait for the trade). Love your writing (I wouldn’t be typing this if I didn’t), but that damn price tag is hard to get past. What won me over though is your admiration and comparison to Ennis' Punisher MAX, a book I also loved.

This issue was much better than I expected. Did feel a little short for the price, but the opening narrative, the slapstick hand removal, and of course, Garney's pretty art, were all fantastic.

One thing though, and this may be on you or on Marvel, why were the lightsaber claws already revealed?! You gave them such a cool introduction, but I already had my "Holy shit! That's awesome!" moment months ago.

Good issue. Now I'll probably be on the damn thing for the long haul (My brain is happy but my wallet hates you). I'm excited about the Ghost Rider mini too.

Not sure what you mean by easier. What could be better than getting my very own title and my first Marvel number one issue?

Just would have been cool to see you writing the main series again. But you having your own series is awesome as well.

You want to show people something cool so they'll want to buy the issue, but at the same time you don't want to ruin the story.

That's fair enough. I guess this is one of those times when looking ahead at covers ruins my enjoyment a bit. Although Fraction mentioned the claws at WonderCon too, so it would have been ruined for me either way. Blame Fraction. And thanks for the reply.

I blame Fraction for everything.

Finally got my hands on this, very nice, can't wait to see more next time.

Lousy, great writer...

Great first issue. I hope Maverick continues to show up as he and the whole Team X thing are my favorite Wolvie moments.

Maverick gets to strut his stuff in issue #3.
